Outside
Kereru Cottage is an attractive two bedroom house within the one and a half acre garden of Tahatai Retreat in Oneroa. It features a sunny living and dining area opening onto a sheltered deck with refrectory table and seating for relaxed BBQ and outside living.
Deck & Barbecue
The two bedrooms both open onto decks looking out to lawns, shrubs, flower gardens and orchards of the Retreat property. There is a small seaview. A double bed in one room and two single beds in the other cater for couples or family groups. A cot is available.
Living Room
Kereru Cottage is the Dining House when training and seminar groups are in residence so the kitchen is well equipped with double oven stove, microwave, two refrigerators and two sinks. Cooking utensils and crockery are well provided. Herb gardens and fruit trees in season are available to residents.
Bathroom
The bathroom area has separate shower, toilet and bathroom with a second shower over the bath and a washhouse all opening onto a secluded covered deck.
Bedroom 1
The Retreat property is at the top of Blackpool Bay on land that slopes towards the sea and is entirely private and protected from road traffic and noise. It has been developed gradually over the forty-six years of the present ownership. Beaches and shops are ten minutes’ walk away and the Matiatai passenger ferry wharf is twenty minutes' walk or five by taxi.
Bedroom 2
The cottage is popular for family holidays, wedding accommodation and seminars all year round.
A valuable feature is that the Tui Courtyard House at Tahatai Retreat is in the same one and a half acre garden. It is on its own section and orients towards its own private courtyard and BBQ area.
Kitchen
Renting both houses provides for family or work groups of approximately twelve people. Both houses are fully self contained and furnished and can be rented separately or together.
